Late one evening (okay, it was actually only 8ish, but that's suddenly become pretty "late" over here!), my friend Heather texted to let me know that her neighbor was throwing out an old desk.
I had barely finished reading the text before I was in my car (pajamas on and all; remember, it was late) and searching for it.
It was found and loaded and I was thrilled.
Upon inspection, Mike was a little less than. Ha! The paint was so thick and gloppy, the caning was damaged beyond repair, and the wood was separating. But he saw the potential!
And after all the TLC he put into it...
She's gorgeous!
Aside from picking it up, my only contribution to this piece was to put on some new glass knobs and line the drawer.
Even better is that it's already sold and will be going to a sweet little girl!
